This page is where I expect to maintain my Debian related stuff.
Backported packages, documentation, transitional files and
everything which is related to Debian should be expected to be
found here.
Some docs I have been writing and are not finished yet. I'm writing
them using SGML and the DebianDoc DTD. There were some discussions inside
Debian between people arguing about migrating to DocBook as the new standard
for official Debian documentation. As it's not official yet and not a standard
adopted by everyone inside Debian I will keep writing things using DebianDoc.
It's available here.
I'm trying to learn PHP. I did some coding using PHP (nothing
professional, tough) some time ago and never touched it again. Now I'm
willing to give it a try again, just for fun. Things found here are surely
expected to be completely non-functional for anyone else other than me (okay,
most of the time it's also not usable to me). It's here only because I needed
an easy way to be able to access it from any place. Did I already told you
it's only a lot of crap ?

Here you will found some texts I wrote quickly and did not had a chance to
convert to any decent format yet.

Foca GNU/Linux
IMHO, the best GNU/Linux guide one could ask for. It gives information
ranging from computer basics and GNU/Linux concepts and goes as far as
talking about computer security, all in an easy to understand language.
It's split into three levels to better service users : Beginner,
Intermediate and Advanced. It's almost distribution neutral and its contents
can be used regardless of the GNU/Linux distribution you use. However, as it
is developed under Debian some of its chapters are Debian especific. It's also
available as a Debian package (namely focalinux-html or focalinux-text) for those
of you who are absolutely against putting anything besides Debian packages
into your computers. Brazilian Portuguese only, sorry.
Debian-BR Project
Our Brazilian project where we try to improve Debian so it can be desired
and used by Brazilian users. We are focused in many areas and we have teams
working on Debian website translations, Debian's packages descriptions
translations, debconf templates translations, d-i (Debian's next generation
installer) translations, Debian specific documentation translations an so on.
We have also created some original content aimed at helping users which are
migrating from others GNU/Linux distributions to Debian. We communicate mainly
using mailing lists (
Debian L10n Portuguese for localization and internalization issues, Debian User Protuguese
for users questions and
Debian-BR for discussing our project's internal issues), but there's
also an IRC channel available on irc.freenode.net named #debian-br
where there's always people willing to help novices and to exchange ideas.
