In September 1999, the Technical Committee approved a proposal to move documentation to /usr/share/doc (as required by the FHS) with a forest of symlinks from /usr/doc. This transition was finally completed for woody in April 2002; the symlinks will be removed starting with sarge.
This list now also includes packages containing files in /usr/man. The problem of symlinks from /usr/doc to /usr/share/doc doesn't arise here, so the transition is less painful, but it should be fixed for FHS compatibility.
Note that the Contents-*.gz files used to generate this scoreboard may be a little out of date, although some overrides are in place. Depending on the architecture, many entries may be due to a newer version of the package not having been ported yet.
