Debian deserves to have a great community. Please be friendly and helpful.

Sponsorship...
Finding a sponsor for a package is still not always easy. So I dedicate a
lot of my time supporting sponsorees. I'm giving comments to packages and help
getting them into Debian if they are clean. Ivo Marino and I founded the
#debian-mentors IRC channel on Freenode to improve the situation even more.
Since I often get asked whether I'm ready to advocate my sponsorees I have
prepared a page on becoming
a Debian Developer that I point them to.
-
mentors.debian.net...
The largest project I have been working on in Debian is
mentors.debian.net. This service
is frequently used to advertise packages that need a sponsor.
(mentors.debian.net is entirely written in Python)
-
Debian Python Maintenance Team (DPMT)...
The Python programming language has become more widely used in software
development. The DPMT's goal is to provide Debian binary packages for the large
amount of extension modules most of which are found at the
Python Cheese Shop.

Famous quote
19:17 <Md> is there anybody around who owns a ZIP IDE drive?
19:18 <asuffield> I am not rummaging in my pile of hardware just to locate my old zip drive for some hotplug bullshit that I don't care about
19:18 <Md> I love you too
