  * Installation

    You need linux-gpib configured and running
    (under Debian install libgpib-bin, libgpib0-dev, follow the
    instructions in /usr/share/doc/libgpib0-dev/README.Debian to compile
    and install the modules). Alternatively the library from NI will
    probably also work with a small change in gpibe/generic488.py to the
    library name.

    Then "./setup.py install" should do it. "./setup.py" might be
    helpful.


  * Contributing

    This library of devices for python-gpib is maintained under ARCH, a
    revision control system like CVS, subversion and others. A good
    tutorial can bve found at
    <http://www.gnu.org/software/gnu-arch/tutorial/arch.html>.

    If you want to contribute devices or see how development is
    advancing, you can do the following:
      
      + install tla

      tla my-id "Joe Developer <joe@developer.com"
      tla register-archive http://people.debian.org/~jordens/tla/projects/2005
      tla get -A jordens@debian.org--projects--2005 gpib-devices--devo
      cd gpib-devices--devo--0

      + start lurking, update with "tla replay"
