To install the latest jpilot and PC/SC Debian packages on a sarge
(stable) system you do:

1. Edit your /etc/apt/sources.list and add the line
deb http://www.backports.org/debian sarge main

2. Add to your /etc/apt/preferences

Package: *
Pin: origin www.backports.org
Pin-Priority: 200

Package: jpilot
Pin: origin www.backports.org
Pin-Priority: 999

3. $ sudo apt-get update

4. $ sudo apt-get upgrade
