like many others, the work i do in debian comes from a mix of professional and personal interests. some of the stuff i do matters for $work, other stuff i do because i use it myself, find it interesting, or maybe help was needed and someone asked really nicely :)
i'm the maintainer (or am on the packaging team) for a number of packages, such as nagios, cacti, mysql, php, and the list seems to keep growing. I won't bother to try and keep this list up to date, since there's a page that automatically keeps track of my packaging/qa information
i've been known to work on occasion with the security team for releasing fixes in packages that i maintain as well as with the general backlog of security issues. i'm also leading a couple of special-interest projects within debian. namely:
