- How to install
XFree86 4.0 on m68k?
- Where is the
Linux-m68k FAQ?
- I have an old Mac, can I install Debian/m68k on it?
See
http://maclinuxstatus.sourceforge.net/status/
if your machine is supported by linux/m68k
(If the kernel does not run, it's hard to install Debian.
Ask the
linux-mac68k
list how you can help.).
- I am trying to install Debian on my Mac, but when I start the Penguin
I get:
RAMDISK : Compressed image found at block 0
VFS : Mounted root (ext2 filesystem)
VFS : Cannot open root device 00:00
Kernel panic : VFS : Unable to mount root fs on 00:00
You forgot to add root=/dev/ram
to the kernel boot options in Penguin.
- How do I get sound with my Quadra (name your mac here)?
Tony 'Nicoya' Mantler says:
Sound is not yet supported on any 68k mac model.
Maybe you can ask on the
linux-mac68k
how you can help writing a driver.
- When I try to compile the 2.2.10 kernel (on amiga) I get a lot of
errors:
bindec.o bindec.S
bindec.S: Assembler messages:
bindec.S:487: Error: Value of -512 too large for field of 1 bytes at 511
Install
kernel-patch-2.2.10-m68k
and apply
/usr/src/kernel-patches/m68k/binutils295-fpsp040-2.2.10.diff.gz.
