Anbei die derzeit im Debian-CVS aktuelle Version des englischsprachigen
Originals und der derzeitige Stand der Übersetzung aus dem Alioth-CVS.

Korrekturvorschläge (diff -u) bitte bis ca. 17 Uhr MESZ am morgigen
Mittwoch, den 29. Juni, an mich oder direkt ins Alioth-CVS.
Sobald ich mit dem Abarbeiten der Korrekturvorschläge durch bin, werde
ich Gerfried eine kurze Statusmeldung senden, auf dass er den Versand
des Newsletters ankurbeln kann, und die jüngste Version ins Debian-CVS
einpflegen. Alles, was danach noch eintreffen mag, werde ich dann
direkt ins Debian-CVS einarbeiten, aber es wird wohl nicht mehr für
den Versand berücksichtigt werden können.

<p>Welcome to this year's 26th issue of DWN, the weekly newsletter for the
Debian community.  Rafael Laboissiere <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00588.html";>wondered</a>
if bug reports for woody can now be closed, but Frank Lichtenheld <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00600.html";>added</a>
that they should be kept if they are security related and that others may be
useful to prevent others from reporting them again.  Martin F. Krafft <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2005/06/msg03748.html";>announced</a>
his new <a href="http://debiansystem.info/";>book</a> that was introduced at <a
href="http://www.linuxtag.org/";>LinuxTag</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Package Policy Committee.</strong> Branden Robinson officially <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/06/msg00017.html";>\
founded</a> the package policy committee that has the authority to handle the
<a href="$(HOME)/doc/debian-policy/">Debian policy manual</a>.  He appointed
Manoj Srivastava (chair), Andreas Barth and Matt Zimmerman to maintain the
document and define levels of conformance other standards.</p>

<p><strong>Release Policy for Etch.</strong> Andreas Barth <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/06/msg00019.html";>\
announced</a> changes in the <a
href="http://release.debian.org/etch_rc_policy.txt";>release policy</a> for the
etch release.  It is now required that all content in main and contrib is <a
href="$(HOME)/social_contract#guidelines">DFSG</a>-free.  It is also not
permitted that the <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00654.html";>changelog</a>
or build dependencies are altered during the build process.</p>

<p><strong>XML Application Files.</strong> Christian Heller <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00741.html";>wondered</a>
where to place programs that are written in the XML-based language CYBOL and
interpreted by CYBOI.  Marc Brockschmidt <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00761.html";>asserted</a>
that this program and interpreter situation looks like Perl and hence should
be handled in a similar way.</p>

<p><strong>Conflicting Program Names.</strong> Sebastian Kuzminsky <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00909.html";>noticed</a>
that two packages provide a <code>git</code> binary.  To avoid this file
conflict the packages did conflict with each other, but this is seriously <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00918.html";>wrong</a>.
Steve Greenland <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg01114.html";>asserted</a>
that renaming the <a href="http://packages.debian.org/cogito";>cogito</a>
binary would make Debian incompatible with other distributions and kernel
development.</p>

<p><strong>Architecture-specific Packages.</strong> Russ Allbery <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00929.html";>maintains</a>
the <a href="http://packages.debian.org/unstable/net/openafs-client";>\
OpenAFS</a> which is not supported on four architectures.  Goswin Brederlow <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00995.html";>explained</a>
three mechanisms that are used by the build daemons to avoid packages they
shouldn't try to build.  <a
href="http://cvs.debian.org/srcdep/Packages-arch-specific?rev=HEAD&amp;cvsroot=dak&amp;content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup";>\
Packages-arch-specific</a> is the proper resource for this type of
packages.</p>

<p><strong>TeXlive versus teTeX.</strong> Norbert Preining <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00970.html";>announced</a>
to package TeXlive, one of the most complete TeX systems.  The advantage of
TeXlive is a more fine-grained package structure, while teTeX would still be
around and could make use of TeXlive modules.  Frank K&uuml;ster <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg01131.html";>explained</a>
that both packages are well maintained but use a different style.</p>

<p><strong>Debian Presentations in Peru.</strong> The <a
href="http://www.debianperu.org/";>DebianPeru</a> user group started a series
of <a href="http://www.debianperu.org/files/debian-sarge.sxi";>\
presentations</a> across the country to spread the word of Free Software and
the new release of Debian, give an introduction into our philosophy and have
fun.  They will hand out CDs to attendees and send CD sets to the main cities
as well.</p>

<p><strong>New or Noteworthy Packages.</strong> The following packages were
added to the unstable Debian archive <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/unstable/newpkg_main";>recently</a> or contain
important updates.</p>

<p><strong>Orphaned Packages.</strong> 1 package was orphaned this week and
requires a new maintainer.  This makes a total of 219 orphaned packages.  Many
thanks to the previous maintainers who contributed to the Free Software

the full list, and please add a note to the bug report and retitle it to ITA:
if you plan to take over a package.</p>

<p>Willkommen zur 26. Ausgabe der DWN in diesem Jahr, dem wöchentlichen
Newsletter der Debian-Gemeinschaft. Rafael Laboissiere <a

sich</a>, ob Fehlerberichte für Woody nun geschlossen werden könnten, aber
Frank Lichtenheld <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00600.html";>ergänzte</a>,
dass sie erhalten bleiben sollten, falls sie sicherheitsbezogen seien, und dass
andere hilfreich sein könnten, um andere vom erneuten Berichten abzuhalten.
Martin F. Krafft <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2005/06/msg03748.html";>kündigte</a>
sein neues <a href="http://debiansystem.info/";>Buch</a> an, das auf dem <a
href="http://www.linuxtag.org/";>LinuxTag</a> vorgestellt wurde.</p>

<p><strong>Paket-Richtlinien-Ausschuss.</strong> Branden Robinson <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/06/msg00017.html";>\
gründete </a> offiziell den Paket-Richtlinien-Ausschuss, der die Befugnis hat, die
<a href="$(HOME)/doc/debian-policy/">Debian-Richtlinien</a> zu verwalten.
Er ernannte Manoj Srivastava (als Vorsitzenden), Andreas Barth und Matt
Zimmerman, das Dokument zu betreuen und Level bezüglich der Konformität
zu anderen Standards zu definieren.</p>

<p><strong>Veröffentlichungsrichtlinien für Etch.</strong> Andreas Barth <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/06/msg00019.html";>\
gab </a> Änderungen an den <a
href="http://release.debian.org/etch_rc_policy.txt";>Veröffentlichungsrichtlinien</a>
für die Etch-Veröffentlichung bekannt. Es sei nun erforderlich, dass sämtlicher
Inhalt in Main und Contrib <a
href="$(HOME)/social_contract#guidelines">DFSG</a>-frei sei. Ebenso sei es nicht
erlaubt, <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00654.html";>changelog</a>-Dateien
oder Bauabhängigkeiten während des Bauprozesses zu verändern.</p>

<p><strong>XML-Programmdateien.</strong> Christian Heller <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00741.html";>fragte</a> sich,
wo man Programme ablegen solle, die in der XML-basierten Sprache CYBOL geschrieben
und mit CYBOI übersetzt seien. Marc Brockschmidt <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00761.html";>behauptete</a>,
dass diese Situation von Programm und Interpreter mit Perl vergleichbar sei und
daher auch ähnlich behandelt werden solle.</p>

<p><strong>Kollision von Programmnamen.</strong> Sebastian Kuzminsky <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00909.html";>bemerkte</a>,
dass zwei Pakete das Programm »<code>git</code>« bereitstellen. Zum
Vermeiden einer Dateikollision erklärten die Pakete ein »Conflict«
aufeinander, aber das sei furchtbar <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00918.html";>falsch</a>.
Steve Greenland <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg01114.html";>stellte fest</a>,
dass ein Umbenennen des
<a href="http://packages.debian.org/cogito";>cogito</a>-Programms
Debian inkompatibel zu anderen Distributionen und zur Kernelentwicklung mache.</p>

<p><strong>Architekturspezifische Pakete.</strong> Russ Allbery <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg00929.html";>betreut</a>
<a href="http://packages.debian.org/unstable/net/openafs-client";>\
OpenAFS</a>, welches auf vier Architekturen nicht unterstützt wird.
Goswin Brederlow <a

drei von den Build-Daemons verwendete Mechanismen zum Auslassen von
Paketen, bei denen diese ein Bauen gar nicht erst versuchen sollten.

<p><strong>TeXlive versus teTeX.</strong> Norbert Preining <a

das Paketieren von TeXlive an, einem der vollständigsten TeX-Systeme.
Der Vorteil von TeXlive liege in der feinkörnigeren Paketstruktur,
wobei teTeX immer noch da wäre und die TeXlive-Module verwenden könnte.
Frank Küster <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg01131.html";>erklärte</a>,
dass beide Pakete gut betreut seien, aber einen unterschiedlichen Stil
verwendeten.</p>

<p><strong>Debian-Präsentationen in Peru.</strong> Die <a
href="http://www.debianperu.org/";>DebianPeru</a>-Benutzergruppe begann
eine Abfolge von <a href="http://www.debianperu.org/files/debian-sarge.sxi";>\
Präsentationen</a> quer durch das Land, auf dass sich Freie Software und
die neue Veröffentlichung von Debian herumsprächen, um in unsere
Philosophie einzuführen und um Spaß zu haben. Sie werden den Teilnehmern
CDs aushändigen und auch CD-Sätze an die wichtigen Städte versenden.</p>
