Setting up Linux LDOMs on Oracle Solaris 11.4

Server setup before configuration
=================================

1. Install SPARC server into rack, connect power and network cables to at least
   one network interfaces and a separate cable for the remote management system
   which is called ILOM on newer SPARC servers.

   Make sure networking for ILOM has been properly configured and can be reached
   via the web browser with https://<ip address of ILOM>.

2. Preparing the remote client

   - In order to use the full capabilities of remote management, a 32-bit
     Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is required; not all features work with
     a 64-bit JRE
   - Download and install 32-bit Oracle JDK
     - Go to https://www.java.com/en/download
     - For Fedora, openSUSE, RHEL and SLES download the "Linux RPM" package
       and install with "zypper in ./jre-8u391-linux-i586.rpm" (for SUSE)
       or with "dnf install ./jre-8u391-linux-i586.rpm".
     - Install the 32-bit version of libXtSt6 with "zypper in libXtst6-32bit"
       on SUSE systems or "dnf in libXtst.i686" on RedHat systems.

3. Connect to ILOM web interface with a web browser by navigating to https://<ip address of ILOM>.

   Default admin user is "root", default password is "changeme" (without the quotes).

4. Open a terminal and connect to ILOM via SSH with:

   $ ssh root@<ip address of ILOM> -oHostKeyAlgorithms=+ssh-rsa -oPubkeyAcceptedKeyTypes=+ssh-rsa

   Password for SSH access is also "changeme" (without the quotes).
