General photos of the spaces

    1. Auditorium

The Infopark auditorium is ~5–10 minutes walking uphill from the hotel. We were discussing including an umbrella as part of the swag, so that people can shade from either rain or sun.

  2. Four Points

In the hotel, we will find multi-standard accomodating power outlets. We have used them both for simple European- and American-style power cords. The voltage is 220V.

Space allocation proposal

Caveats: We are not sure if we will get both All Spice and Executive Lounge; this proposal assumes both.

Conference dinner alternatives

We went to the Bolgatty Island complex and to ***, these are some pictures for both spaces:

Bolgatty Island

Bolgatty is a Dutch palace built in 1744 in one of the islands in the port region of Kochi, which served for the home of the British Governors. It is nowadays a heritage hotel resort, often used for weddings and similar ceremonies. It has many nice places where we can have our Conference Dinner

RECAA

The Regional Engineering College Calicut Alumni Association has a social center quite close to Infopark, and it has three main options for spaces to host the Conference Dinner: Two adjacent areas in the garden by its pool and one overlooking them, inside the building.

Kochi Airport

I left with the impression of a quiet, orderly and easy-going terminal. Do note that we arrived to Chennai, not to Kochi; we only departed from Kochi, so we might have an incomplete picture.

I was at the Domestic terminal, as my flight was Kochi → Bangalore → Amsterdam → Mexico. I arrived quite early, as I left the hotel around 14:00 (because of checkout time); the terminal seems to be active later in the evening. We could not enter the terminal building until it was only four hours to the departure time, so I had the opportunity to walk around, take some photos, and finally sit down and read a bit before entering.

Worth noting: My experience in the Kochi airport was quite positive, but the three of us had bad experiences crossing the security filter at Bangalore. We had and saw very long queues, being separated from your luggage and documents with no explanation nor status updates (in my case, for ~25 minutes), and confiscation of items we have passed through other security controls.
