During the month of September, I worked on the following tasks for LTS: - Helped with the bullseye ELTS migration for the ELTS security-tracker and related scripts. - Prepared updates for tzdata (DLA-4792-1), libdatetime-timezone-perl (DLA-4793-1), and firefox-esr (DLA-4770-1, DLA-4781-1). - Coordinated and sent announcements for keystone (DLA-4767-1), chromium (DLA-4771-1, DLA-4776-1, DLA-4790-1), pcre2 (DLA-4772-1) and thunderbird (DLA-4775-1). - Worked on frontdesk, including CVE triaging. Started a discussion about the role of frontdesk and what can be automated, given the rising number of issues that need to be looked at. Played with some scripts to automate some tasks. - Tested linux-6.1/bookworm 6.1.187-1 update ahead of its release, prepared by Salvatore. - Worked on various security-tracker issues: - https://salsa.debian.org/security-tracker-team/security-tracker/-/work_items/49 - https://salsa.debian.org/security-tracker-team/security-tracker/-/work_items/51 - https://salsa.debian.org/security-tracker-team/security-tracker/-/work_items/56 - https://salsa.debian.org/security-tracker-team/security-tracker/-/work_items/57 - Started work on the firefox ESR 153 bump, including a ppc64el build failure. I also worked on the following tasks for ELTS: - Investigated supportability of OpenJDK 17 during bullseye and bookworm lifetime. - Fixed an issue in the ELTS debusine.freexian.com configuration that caused large packages to not get scheduled on the large workers, causing FTBFS issues. - Handled customer query regarding broken bullseye archive on security.debian.org and lack of the distribution on archive.debian.org. - Prepared updates for linux-6.1 (ELA-1821-1). - Reviewed a change to the elts-retrieve-cve-severities script by Santiago. - Played with enable_confirmation on debusine for linux ELTS updates to attempt to streamline the process, run into debusine #1613. - Reverted a change in the ELTS security-tracker that broke gen-ELA, causing it to no longer track the ELTS releases. - Fixed some security-tracker triaging that broke the tracker database. - Released shim update for bullseye to add Freexian's CA.
