This is a sample script (public domain, but very sloppy!) to create bug reports from build logs if you take the time to choose a good subject for them. Ingredients: - Make sure environment variables DEBFULLNAME (your name) and DEBEMAIL (your email) are properly defined. - s.txt is a file in this format, where everything after the first space is considered the subject: package1 subject1 package2 subject2 [...] - unstable.txt is a jinja2 template (like the ones used by ansible) - logs is a directory containing build logs made by sbuild - build-log-2-report-simple is the script, put it somewhere in your PATH You need to install python3-jinja2 for the script to work. Example usage, to be run from the directory containing the logs: build-log-2-report-simple ../s.txt ../template.txt The bug reports will be created "raw" in $HOME/bugs-to-send. I recommend that they are imported in some proper MUA like Thunderbird to send them. The script drops the "FTBFS:" part from the subject and looks for a line containing the remaining of the subject. If found, the bug report will contain such line until the end of the build and five lines of context before it. Please modify unstable.txt to suit your needs before using it. I recommend that you put your build logs somewhere in your $HOME at people.debian.org and reference the directory containing them (this avoids creating lots of dangling links if/when the build logs themselves are eventually removed).
