<p><strong>Status der Big-Endian ARM-Portierung.</strong> Lennert Buytenhek <a

ARM</a>-Portierung in den letzten Wochen einen stetigen Fortschritt gesehen

seen steady progress in the recent weeks. The sarge distribution is nearly
rebuilt and two build daemons are working on the unstable distribution, both
of which are available from a separate <a
href="http://armeb.debian.net/debian-armeb/";>server</a>.</p>
<p><strong>Reise-Unterstützung für die Debian-Konferenz.</strong> Andreas
Schuldei <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/11/msg00004.html";>\
bot</a> aktiven Debian-Leuten in begrenztem Umfang Reise-Unterstützung an, falls
sie sich die gesamte Reise nicht leisten könnten. Um das Budget planen zu können, bat
er die Interessierten, sich rechtzeitig zu <a

Komitee werde später über die Unterstützungsmöglichkeiten entscheiden.

<p><strong>Travel Sponsorship for Debian Conference.</strong> Andreas
Schuldei <a

offered</a> active Debian people limited travel sponsorship if they can't
afford the entire trip. In order to be able to plan the budget he asked those
to <a href="https://www.debconf.org/comas/attendees/new";>register</a> in
time. A committee will later decide about the sponsoring options.</p>
<p><strong>Bericht des Oldenburger DevJam-Treffens.</strong> Arnaud Vandyck <a

reported</a> that several Java people from different distributions have met at
the <a href="http://meeting.ffis.de/Oldenburg2005/java.html";>DevJam</a> for
the first time. Developers from different distributions and upstream packages
have <a href="http://lwn.net/Articles/152664/";>discussed</a> the state and
development of the free Java toolchain.</p>
<p><strong>Automatische Datenbank-Aktualisierungen für Clam AntiVirus.</strong> Marc Haber <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-volatile-announce/debian-volatile-announce-2005/msg00003.html";>\
gab bekannt</a>, dass ein Skript alle 30 Minuten überprüfe, ob neue
Viren-Muster veröffentlicht worden seien, und die Virus-Datenbank für <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/clamav";>Clam AntiVirus</a> auf dem <a
href="http://volatile.debian.net/";>Volatile</a>-Rechner falls nötig erneut baue.
Falls alle Tests erfolgreich bestanden
werden, würden die generierten Pakete automatisch in das Volatile-Archiv verschoben.
Ältere Pakete würden automatisch entfernt.

<p><strong>Automatic Clam AntiVirus Database Updates.</strong> Marc Haber <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-volatile-announce/debian-volatile-announce-2005/msg00003.html";>\
announced</a> that a script checks every 30 minutes if new virus patterns have
been released and rebuilds the virus database for <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/clamav";>Clam AntiVirus</a> on the <a
href="http://volatile.debian.net/";>volatile</a> host if necessary. If all
tests are passed automatically
packages will be moved into the volatile archive. Older packages are
automatically removed.</p>
<p><strong>Debian-Installer Etch Beta 1.</strong> Joey Hess <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2005/11/msg00605.html";>gab</a> die
erste Etch Beta-Veröffentlichung des <a href="$(HOME)/devel/debian-installer/">\
Debian-Installers</a> bekannt und erklärte, warum die Veröffentlichung so
lange gedauert habe. Das zeitaufwändigste Problem war die Jagd nach Fehlern, die
in verschiedenen Paketen, von denen der Installer abhänge, vor kurzem hinzugefügt worden
seien. Täglich gebaute Installer-Images ergäben nur selten funktionierende
Images. Hieran müsse gearbeitet werden.

the first etch beta release of the <a href="$(HOME)/devel/debian-installer/">\
debian-installer</a> and explained why the release took so long. The most
time-consuming problem was chasing recently introduced bugs in various
packages the installer depends on. Daily building installer images only
rarely result in working images, which needs to be improved.</p>

relicensed</a> under the <a href="http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html";>GNU
GPL</a> and, hence, stays in the main archive.</p>
<p><strong>FOSDEM: Aufruf zur Einreichung von Vorträgen.</strong> Wouter
Verhelst
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-events-eu/2005/11/msg00022.html";>\
bat</a> um Vorträge für den Debian-Raum auf der kommenden
<a href="http://www.fosdem.org/";>FOSDEM</a>-Konferenz, die am 25. und 26.
Februar 2006 in Brüssel, Belgien, stattfinden werde. Die Vorträge sollten
technisch orientiert und an Personen, die mit dem Debian-Projekt vertraut
seien, gerichtet werden.</p>
<p><strong>FOSDEM: Call for Talks.</strong> Wouter Verhelst <a

for talks for the Debian room at the upcoming <a
href="http://www.fosdem.org/";>FOSDEM</a> conference that will take place on
February 25th and 26th, 2006 in Brussels, Belgium. The talks should cover a
technical issue and aimed towards people familiar with the Debian
project.</p>
<p><strong>Lizenz für Debian-Konferenz-Material.</strong> Francesco Poli
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/11/msg00064.html";>\
erklärte</a>, dass von <a href="http://www.debconf.org/";>DebConf</a>-Vortragenden
verlangt werden sollte,
ihren Vortrag unter einer zu den <a href="$(HOME)/social_contract#guidelines">\
DFSG</a> kompatiblen Lizenz zu veröffentlichen. Anthony Towns <a

out that Debian already distributes lots of content that isn't DFSG-free, such
as mailing lists and bug reports.</p>
<p><strong>Debian-Installer-Treffen im Oktober.</strong> Christian Perrier

installer has been amazing and all attendees agreed to make it available as
soon as possible. Switching to <a href="http://packages.debian.org/udev";>\

udev</a> became a major goal for the future.</p>
<p><strong>Abhängigkeiten in Entwicklungspaketen.</strong> Gabor Gombas
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00772.html";>\
bemerkte</a> Probleme in Abhängigkeiten von Entwicklerpaketen, da statisches
und dynamisches Linken verschiedene Pakete erfordere und weil einige Pakete
mit anderen in Konflikt stehen würden, da sie die selben Dateien anbieten.

of the Kerberos implementation.</p>

direction but could <a
