<p><strong>Am GPLv3-Prozess teilnehmen.</strong> Florian Weimer <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2005/11/msg00035.html";>fragte sich</a>,
ob das Debian-Projekt oder <a
href="http://www.spi-inc.org/";>Software in the Public Interest, Inc.</a> am
Erstellungs-Prozess der neuen <a
href="http://www.fsf.org/news/gplv3";>General Public License</a> teilnehme. Er

if the Debian project or <a
href="http://www.spi-inc.org/";>Software in the Public Interest, Inc.</a> is
participating in the creation process for the new <a
href="http://www.fsf.org/news/gplv3";>General Public License</a>. He believes
that Debian should be involved to ensure that license compatibility does not
decrease substantially, and that things like the purported anti-DRM clauses
remain practical.</p>
<p><strong>Bericht vom Linux-Info-Tag Dresden.</strong> <a

using <a href="http://www.kde.org/";>KDE</a> 3.4 as its desktop environment and
<a
href="http://glibc-bsd.alioth.debian.org/ging/screenshots/ging_0.1.0.rc1.png";>\
includes</a> a mixture of KDE and GNOME applications such as Konqueror, GIMP,
KOffice, Gaim and others.</p>
<p><strong>Unter Debian SSL-Zertifikate erstellen.</strong> Ein Benutzer <a
href="http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/284";>dokumentierte</a>
das Erstellen und Verwenden von selbstsignierten SSL-Zertifikaten, so dass
sich Browser nicht mehr über das Zertifikat beschweren, und beschrieb
detailliert, wie SSL-Zertifikate und eine Zertifizierungsstelle
(<q>certification authority (CA)</q>) erstellt werden. Es werde außerdem
beschrieben, wie man das CA-Zertifikat verteilt und Apache einrichtet,
den neu erstellten Schlüssel und das Zertifikat zu verwenden.</p>
<p><strong>Creating SSL Certificates on Debian.</strong> A user <a
href="http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/284";>documented</a> the
creation and use of self signed SSL certificates to prevent browsers from
complaining about the certificates and describes in detail how SSL
certificates and a certification authority (CA) are created. Distributing the
CA certificate and configuring Apache to use the newly created key and
certificate are also described.</p>
<p><strong>Debian-Konferenz: Aufruf zum Einreichen von Beiträgen.</strong>
Andreas Schuldei <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/11/msg00003.html";>\
rief dazu auf</a>, Materialien zu möglichen Präsentationen einzureichen,
die auf der <a href="http://www.debconf.org/";>Debian-Konferenz</a> im
nächsten Jahr, die vom 14. bis zum 22. Mai 2006 in Oaxtepec, Mexiko,
stattfinden wird, gehalten werden sollen. Vorschläge werden noch bis
23:59 Uhr koordinierte Weltzeit (<q>UTC</q>) am 6. Dezember angenommen
und dann vom Komitee durchgesehen. Die akzeptierten Vorträge werden
am 20. Dezember veröffentlicht werden.</p>
<p><strong>Debian Conference: Call for Papers.</strong> Andreas Schuldei <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/11/msg00003.html";>\
called</a> for papers for potential presentation to be given at next year's <a
href="http://www.debconf.org/";>Debian Conference</a> which will take place
from the 14 May to the 22th 2006 in Oaxtepec, Mexico. Proposals will be
accepted until December 6th, 23h59 UTC, reviewed by the committee and accepted
talks will be published on December 20th.</p>
<p><strong>Debian auf der Systems-Ausstellung.</strong> Erich Schubert <a
href="http://blog.drinsama.de/erich/en/linux/2005102902-debian-booth-on-systems";>\
berichtete</a> über die Anwesenheit Debians auf der diesjährigen <a
href="$(HOME)/events/2005/1024-systems">Systems</a>-Ausstellung, die von
einer nur kleinen Anzahl von Debian-Leuten organisiert und bemannt wurde.

<p><strong>Debian at Systems Exhibition.</strong> Erich Schubert <a

reported</a> about the Debian presence at this year's <a
href="$(HOME)/events/2005/1024-systems">Systems</a> exhibition which was
organised and staffed by only a small number of Debian people. A few people
stopped by at the booth the morning he was around and asked high-quality
questions. More project members are needed for next year's event.</p>
<p><strong>Als Einreichender Fehlerberichte schließen?</strong> Jan Nordholz <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00639.html";>fragte sich</a>,
ob es erwünscht und möglich sei, die eigenen Fehlerberichte zu schließen,
wenn sie versehentlich durch eine neue Upstream-Version oder Ähnliches
behoben wurden. Jeroen van Wolffelaar <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00640.html";>\
schlug vor</a>, dem Fehlerbericht eine Erklärung hinzuzufügen und den
Rest dem Betreuer zu überlassen. Henning Makholm <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00644.html";>\
erklärte</a>, dass es seit der Implementierung von Versionsverfolgung
(<q>version tracking</q>) die bevorzugte Methode sei, Fehlerberichte
mit einem passenden Versions-Pseudo-Header zu schließen.</p>
<p><strong>Closing Bugs as Submitter?</strong> Jan Nordholz <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00639.html";>wondered</a>
if it is desired and possible to close ones own bug reports if they have been
dealt with accidentally by a new upstream version or similar. Jeroen van
Wolffelaar <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00640.html";>\
proposed</a> to add an explanation to the bug report and let the
maintainer deal with it. Henning Makholm <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00644.html";>\
explained</a> that closing the bug report with the proper version
pseudo-header is the preferred method since version tracking is
implemented.</p>
<p><strong>Beliebte Architekturen in Debian.</strong> Petter Reinholdtsen <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00651.html";>berichtete</a>
über die zunehmende Teilnahme von nicht-x86-Architekturen am <a
href="http://popcon.debian.org/";>Beliebtheitswettbewerb</a> (<q>popcon</q>).

about an increased visibility of non-x86 architectures in the <a
href="http://popcon.debian.org/";>popularity contest</a>. The list of packages
used around the globe is relevant information that helps ordering the packages
on the CDs, to make sure the most popular packages end up on the first
CDs.</p>
<p><strong>Widerrufen eines digitalen Schlüssels.</strong> Roberto Sanchez <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00676.html";>fragte sich</a>,
wann er seinen alten GnuPG-Schlüssel widerrufen solle, da er einen neuen
erstellt hat, aber alle seine früheren Arbeiten zu Debian natürlich mit dem
alten signiert habe. Christoph Berg
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00696.html";>erklärte</a>,
dass er sich um das Debian-Archiv nicht zu kümmern brauche, denn seine
Pakete tragen die Signatur des Sponsors, da sein alter Schlüssel nicht im
Debian-Schlüsselring enthalten sei.</p>
<p><strong>Digital Key Revocation.</strong> Roberto Sanchez <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00676.html";>wondered</a>
when he should revoke his old GnuPG key since he has created a new one but all
of his former Debian work is signed with the old one, of course. Christoph
Berg <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00696.html";>\
explained</a> that he doesn't need to care about the Debian archive since his
packages carry the sponsor's signatures as the old key is not included in the
Debian keyring.</p>
<p><strong>Umgang mit OpenSSL und GPL.</strong> Sean Finney <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00691.html";>berichtete</a>,
dass er ein Paket betreue, das die <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html";>GNU GPL</a> verwende, aber gegen <a

pointer to the <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/software/gnutls/manual/html_node/Compatibility-with-the-OpenSSL-library.html";>\
compatibility layer</a> that intends to ease GnuTLS' integration with existing
applications.</p>
