Hallo Florian,
hatte vor der Tagesschau einige Artikel übersetzt und wollte gerade
die -final von Joey einchecken, aber Alioth mag mein Passwort
plötzlich nicht mehr. Ich habe die Datei in der aktuellen Version (im
wesentlichen 1.18 -> 1.23 mit übersetzen Standardteilen) mit der Bitte
um Weiterverarbeitung angehängt.

<p><strong>Interview mit Branden Robinson.</strong> TuxJournal lieferte ein <a
href="http://www.tuxjournal.net/intervista6.html";>Interview</a> mit Branden,
in dem ein bisschen über seine Vergangenheit und die Vorteile der 
Debian-Distribution geredet wird. Sein Hauptfokus als Projektleiter liege auf
dem Versuch, einige langjährige Infrastruktur-Probleme zu lösen, die für
Entwickler und Benutzer frustierend seien.

<p><strong>Joining Skolelinux Forces.</strong> Steffen Joeris  <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-edu/2005/12/msg00166.html";>proposed</a>
to use <a href="http://www.skolelinux.org/";>www.skolelinux.org</a> as a
debian-edu community base with a planet installation, own email
addresses and a people space for project members. This should not only
strengthen the debian-edu community but also facilitate coordination and
cooperation between the different local teams.</p>

<p><strong>Debian stabilisiert die Linux-Landschaft.</strong> Tom Adelstein <a
href="http://lxer.com/module/newswire/view/49490/index.html";>erklärte</a>, wie
er von mehreren anderen Distributionen zu Debian GNU/Linux gewechselt sei und
warum diese ihn am besten diene. Mitglieder des Debian-Projekts neigten dazu,

he switched from several other distribution to Debian GNU/Linux and why it
serves him best.  Members of the Debian project tend to attract a higher level
of technical expertise and a strong commitment to the Free Software
Foundation.  According to <a href="http://www.netcraft.com/";>Netcraft</a>
Debian is currently the fastest growing GNU/Linux distribution for web
servers, with more than 1.2 million active sites in December.</p>

DCC 3.0 bekannt. Dies ist ein <a

Debian package and was soliciting input.  Mark Brown <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/11/msg01143.html";>replied</a>
with details about the procedure with NIS packages.  Nathanael Nerode <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/11/msg01156.html";>added</a>
that the inclusion depends on the size of the new program and its prospective
use.</p>

<p><strong>Splitting Packages.</strong> Bill Allombert <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/11/msg01170.html";>asked</a>
developers who split their packages into a normal and a data package to obey
to a number of rules that will help Debian keep the archive sober.  These
include a naming scheme, keeping program data in the normal package, the use
of symbolic links and actually moving the shared data into the data
package.</p>

<p><strong>Handhabung von Konfigurationen.</strong> Frank Küster <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/11/msg01239.html";>fragte 
sich</a>, wie er die große Anzahl von potenziellen Konfigurationsdateien des

with details on how the <a href="http://packages.debian.org/menu";>menu</a>
package handles its configuration.</p>

<p><strong>GPLv3 Development Process.</strong> Francesco Poli <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/12/msg00005.html";>reported</a>
that the <a href="http://www.fsf.org/";>Free Software Foundation</a> has
recently disclosed details about the drafting <a
href="http://gplv3.fsf.org/process-definition";>process</a> that will be
adopted for the upcoming version 3 of the <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html";>GNU GPL</a>.  The final text is
scheduled to be released between September 2006 and March 2007 with at least
two draft versions to be released in January and June 2006.</p>

<p><strong>Debian Task Descriptions.</strong> Andreas Schuldei <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2005/11/msg00132.html";>called</a>
for volunteers to document descriptions of various <a
href="http://wiki.debian.org/JobDescription";>tasks</a> within the Debian
project.  The goal of these descriptions is to separate names and persons from
tasks that should lead to more objective discussion in the future.</p>

<p><strong>GameBoy Emulators.</strong> Robert Millan <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/12/msg00024.html";>wondered</a>
whether GameBoy emulators that are released under the <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html";>GNU GPL</a> should be placed in
<code>main</code> or <code>contrib</code> since they require potentially
non-free games.  However, <a href="http://packages.debian.org/gngb";>gngb</a>
is in <code>main</code> while <a href="http://packages.debian.org/gnuboy";>\
gnuboy</a> is in <code>contrib</code>.  Andrew Suffield <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/12/msg00029.html";>added</a>
that there is a thriving community of developers of free gameboy <a
href="http://sourceforge.net/projects/opengbgames";>games</a>.</p>
