dependent packages that will contribute to the clog. Guillem Jover <a

to <a href="http://bugs.debian.org/90989";>split</a> dependency lines in the
source control files for improved readability. Andreas Tille <a

about a free <a href="http://www.klixxa.de/";>Live CD</a> aiming at

# Jens: Alternativ zu vielen Bindestrichen B.-Mod. für Standard-C++
<p><strong>Änderung an der Standard-C++-Bibliothek.</strong> Matthias Klose <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/11/msg00010.html";>\
gab bekannt</a>, dass der Speicher-Zuteiler in der Standard-\
C++-Bibliothek geändert werde, weshalb mehrere Pakete erneut gebaut werden
müssten. Er fügte eine Liste dieser Pakete an. Die Bibliothek werde von
neuen Versionen der <a href="http://packages.debian.org/gcc-3.4";>gcc-3.4</a>-
und der <a href="http://packages.debian.org/gcc-4.0";>gcc-4.0</a>-Pakete
aktualisiert. Um die neue Abhängigkeit wiederzugeben, müssen Betreuer ihre
Pakete eventuell <a

<p><strong>Standard C++ Library Modification.</strong> Matthias Klose <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/11/msg00010.html";>\
announced</a> that the memory allocator in the standard C++
library will be changed which requires several packages to be rebuilt for
which he has appended a list. The library will be updated by new versions
of the <a href="http://packages.debian.org/gcc-3.4";>gcc-3.4</a> and <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/gcc-4.0";>gcc-4.0</a> packages. Maintainers
may have to <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/07/msg00001.html";>\
rename</a> the binary packages to reflect the new dependency.</p>
<p><strong>Deklassifizierung privater E-Mails.</strong> Anthony Towns <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-vote/2005/11/msg00001.html";>schlug</a>
einen Allgemeinen Beschluss zur Öffnung der Archive der debian-private-Liste
für die Öffentlichkeit nach drei Jahren vor. Ein Deklassifizierungs-Team
sollte delegiert werden, um Finanz-Informationen über Einzelpersonen und
E-Mails ohne historische Relevanz zu entnehmen. Autoren und Empfängern sollte
eine Kommentar-Periode vor der Veröffentlichung eingeräumt werden.

<p><strong>Declassification of private Mails.</strong> Anthony Towns <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-vote/2005/11/msg00001.html";>proposed</a>
a general resolution to open the archives of the debian-private list to the
public after three years. A declassification team should be delegated to
extract financial information about individuals and mails of no historical
relevance. Authors and recipients should be given a period to comment on the
publication.</p>
<p><strong>Beauftragte des Projekt-Leiters.</strong> Branden Robinson
#HK: Ich denke delegation läßt sich in diesem Zusammenhang so übersetzen,
# besser als »Delegation« oder »Abordnung«
veröffentlichte ein <a

Dokument</a>, in dem erklärt werde, wie die Beauftragung funktioniere. Die

href="$(HOME)/devel/constitution">Verfassung</a> deutet an, dass es andere
Vollmachten gäbe, die der Projekt-Leiter nicht direkt ausüben
dürfe und stattdessen delegieren müsse. Falls eine bestimmte Entscheidung
delegiert werde, könne der Projekt-Leiter die Verantwortung für die
Entscheidung nicht auf sich persönlich zurückübertragen, aber er könne diese
an eine andere Person übertragen.

<p><strong>Project Leader Delegations.</strong> Branden Robinson released a <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/11/msg00009.html";>\
document</a> explaining how project leader delegations work. The <a
href="$(HOME)/devel/constitution">constitution</a> suggests that there may be
other powers which the project leader may not directly wield, and which they
must delegate instead. If a particular decision is delegated, the project
leader cannot take back responsibility for the decision personally, but can
re-delegate it to someone else.</p>
<p><strong>Paket-Suche mit Debtags.</strong> Enrico Zini <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/11/msg00011.html";>\
gab</a> eine experimentelle Suchmaschine für Debian-Pakete auf der Basis der <a
href="http://debtags.alioth.debian.org";>Debtags</a>-Informationen bekannt. Die

search</a> starts with a normal text search, and then continues with
categories. Since it is a prototype the engine is currently slow.</p>

24th of January 2006 prior to the <a href="http://linux.conf.au/";>Linux
Conference Australia</a>. The topic should be related to Debian and could be
a normal presentation, discussion, tutorial or a story of grand success.</p>
<p><strong>Automatisiertes Testen von Paketen.</strong> Ian Jackson <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2005/11/msg00072.html";>schlug vor</a>,
eine Schnittstelle für Pakete einzurichten, über welche sie mitgelieferte
Tests beschrieben, die automatisch durchgeführt werden könnten. Dies sollte

<p><strong>Automated Testing for Packages.</strong> Ian Jackson <a

an interface for packages to describe included tests that can be run
automatically. This should help find regressions in more recent versions of
packages. The format shall be RFC822-style again and describe limitations or
side effects as well.</p>

<p><strong>Debian Developer's Packages Overview.</strong> Christoph Berg
gab die neuen Fähigkeiten der <a

bekannt</a>. Beliebige Pakete könnten nun zu der Seite hinzugefügt werden,
man könne das System einrichten, zusätzliche benutzerdefinierte Abschnitte
anzuzeigen, kürzlich hochgeladene Versionen würden angezeigt und auch
Daten aus dem <a href="http://popcon.debian.org/";>Beliebtheitswettbewerb</a>

<p><strong>Debian Developer's Packages Overview.</strong> Christoph Berg <a

Arbitrary packages can be added to the page, the system can be configured to
display additional user-defined sections, recently uploaded version are

contest</a> is included as well.</p>
<p><strong>Keine unkomprimierte Packages-Datei mehr.</strong> Ian Bruce <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00993.html";>bemerkte</a>,
dass das Debian-Paket-Archiv keine unkomprimierten <code>Packages</code>-Dateien
mehr bereitstelle. Jörg Jaspert <a

that the Debian package archive doesn't provide uncompressed
<code>Packages</code> files anymore. Jörg Jaspert <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg01082.html";>explained</a>
that this change was <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2002/08/msg00008.html";>\
announced</a> three years ago already. Goswin Brederlow <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg00998.html";>added</a>
that <a href="http://packages.debian.org/apt";>apt</a> from
<code>experimental</code> is able to use the recently provided differential
files.</p>
<p><strong>Automatisches Aktualisieren von Dateien auf Alioth.</strong> Frank
Küster <a

wie Dateien auf <a href="http://alioth.debian.org/";>Alioth</a> zum

<p><strong>Automatic File Updates in Alioth.</strong> Frank Küster <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg01014.html";>wondered</a>
how files on <a href="http://alioth.debian.org/";>Alioth</a> could be kept
up-to-date with the Subversion <a href="http://svn.debian.org/";>repository</a>
and already proposed to use a <code>post-hook</code>. Enrico Zini <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg01017.html";>explained</a>
his way of updating the web pages by using a mail trigger and an anonymous
checkout area.</p>
<p><strong>Beschreibungen für Dummy- und Meta-Pakete.</strong> Enrico Zini <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg01154.html";>bat</a>
um konsistente Beschreibungen für Meta- und Dummy-Pakete, so dass sie
nicht falsch markiert würden und zukünftige Paketverwaltungsprogramme
angemessen mit ihnen umgehen könnten. Ein Meta-Paket werde dazu verwendet,
um andere Pakete automatisch einzubeziehen. Im Gegensatz dazu werde ein
Dummy-Paket verwendet, um die reibungslose Aktualisierung von Paketen
zu ermöglichen, und es könne danach ohne Bedenken entfernt werden.</p>
<p><strong>Descriptions for Dummy and Meta Packages.</strong> Enrico Zini <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/10/msg01154.html";>asked</a>
for consistent descriptions for meta and dummy packages so that they aren't
tagged wrongly and future package managers can handle them properly. A
metapackage is used to pull in other packages. On the contrary, a dummy
package is used for smooth upgrades of packages and can safely removed
afterwards.</p>
<p><strong>Stand der Dinge zu PHP-Lizenzen.</strong>. Jeremy Bouse <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/10/msg00124.html";>bat</a>
hinsichtlich der <a href="http://www.php.net/license/3_0.txt";>\
PHP-Lizenzen</a> um Klärung, ob sie als frei bezeichnet werden könnten,
da viele PEAR-Pakete sie verwendeten. Steve Langasek <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/10/msg00125.html";>erklärte</a>,
dass die Lizenzen selbst als frei gelten, sie sich aber für nichts außer
PHP selbst eigneten.</p>
