Moinmoin,

anbei und gemixt die derzeit aktuelle Version r1.3 des Originals und
der momentane Stand der Übersetzung aus dem Alioth-CVS r1.17.
Diese Ausgabe der wöchentlichen Debian-Nachrichten wurde von Jens Seidel
und Martin 'Joey' Schulze erstellt. Sie wurde von Jens Seidel übersetzt.

Korrekturvorschläge (diff -u) bitte bis ca. 22.30 Uhr MESZ am heutigen
Mittwoch, dem 02. August, an mich oder direkt ins Alioth-CVS.

Sobald ich mit dem Abarbeiten der Korrekturvorschläge durch bin, werde
ich den Newsletter auch gleich versenden und die jüngste Version ins
Debian-CVS einpflegen. Alles, was danach noch eintreffen mag, werde
ich dann direkt ins Debian-CVS einarbeiten, aber es wird wohl nicht
mehr für den Versand berücksichtigt werden können.

<p>Willkommen zur 31. Ausgabe der DWN in diesem Jahr, dem wöchentlichen
Newsletter der Debian-Gemeinschaft. Christoph Berg gab neun neue Mitglieder
des QA-Teams <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-qa/2006/07/msg00093.html";>bekannt</a>,
die bereits an ausstehenden Problemen in der 
<a href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">Etch-Veröffentlichung</a> arbeiten. Gintautas
Miliauskas <a
href="http://gintasm.blogspot.com/2006/06/localization-coordination-for-debian-1.html";>\
berichtete</a>, dass er an einer integrierten Lokalisierungs-Infrastruktur
für Debian arbeitete, die auf dem vom <a
href="http://www.worldforge.org/";>WorldForge-Projekt</a> verwendeten Framework
basiere.</p>

<p>Welcome to this year's 31st issue of DWN, the weekly newsletter for the
Debian community.  Christoph Berg <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-qa/2006/07/msg00093.html";>announced</a>
nine new members of the QA team who already work on outstanding issues in the
<a href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">etch</a> release.  Gintautas Miliauskas <a
href="http://gintasm.blogspot.com/2006/06/localization-coordination-for-debian-1.html";>\
reported</a> that he has been working on an integrated l10n infrastructure for
Debian based on the framework used by the <a
href="http://www.worldforge.org/";>WorldForge</a> project.</p>

<p><strong>Hochladen mit angemessenen Dringlichkeiten.</strong> Adeodato Simó <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/07/msg00008.html";>\
erinnerte</a> die Entwickler daran, korrigierte Pakete mit der Priorität
<code>high</code> (hoch) hochzuladen, wenn sie sicherheitsbezogene Fehler
behöben. Die Dringlichkeit <code>medium</code> (mittel) sollte für
veröffentlichungskritische Fehler inklusive Korrekturen zu Fehlern beim Bau
aus dem Quellcode (<acronym_FTBFS />) auf der einen oder anderen
<a href="$(HOME)/ports/">Architektur</a> verwendet werden. Da diese Uploads
weniger Tage in <a href="$(HOME)/releases/unstable/">Unstable</a> verblieben,
bevor sie nach <a href="$(HOME)/releases/testing/">Testing</a> migrierten,
sollten sie auch mit besonderer Sorgfalt vorbereitet werden.</p>

<p><strong>Uploading with proper Urgencies.</strong> Adeodato Simó <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/07/msg00008.html";>\
reminded</a> developers to upload fixed packages with urgency
<code>high</code> if they fix security-related bugs.  The urgency
<code>medium</code> should be used for release-critical bugs including
corrections to failures to build from source on one or another <a
href="$(HOME)/ports/">architecture</a>.  Since these uploads will stay fewer
days in <a href="$(HOME)/releases/unstable/">unstable</a> before they migrate
into <a href="$(HOME)/releases/testing/">testing</a>, they should be prepared
with extra care as well.</p>

<p><strong>Verantwortlichkeit für Pakete.</strong> Martin Krafft
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00190.html";>fragte
sich</a>, ob Debian die Verantwortlichkeiten für Pakete ändern und zu
mehr gruppenbetreuten Paketen übergehen wolle.  Adeodato Simó
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00231.html";>\
erklärte</a>, dass die Verfügbarkeit des Patches des Nicht-Betreuers in der
<a href="$(HOME)/Bugs/">Fehlerdatenbank</a> für einige wenige Tage, bevor das
Paket ins Archiv aufgenommen werde, der Qualitätssicherung helfen würde, da

dann die Möglichkeit zur Durchsicht durch Dritte bestünde.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibility for Packages.</strong> Martin Krafft <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00190.html";>wondered</a>
if Debian wants to change responsibilities for packages and move to more group
maintained packages.  Adeodato Simó <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00231.html";>explained</a>
that having the non-maintainer diff in the <a href="$(HOME)/Bugs/">bug
tracking system</a> for a few days before entering the archive does help QA,
because there's room for peer review.</p>

<p><strong>Xen unter Debian GNU/Linux 3.1.</strong> Aike de Jongste
<a href="http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/423";>erklärte</a>, wie
die <a href="http://www.backports.org/";>zurückportierte</a> Version von
<a href="http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xen";>Xen</a> auf einem
<a href="$(HOME)/releases/sarge/">stabilen</a> Debian-System
installiert werden könne. Dies schließe
<a href="http://jaqque.sbih.org/kplug/apt-pinning.html";>APT-Pinning</a>
mehrerer Pakete ein, sowie die Erzeugung einer speziellen RAM-Disk, das

<p><strong>Xen on Debian GNU/Linux 3.1.</strong> Aike de Jongste <a

install the <a href="http://www.backports.org/";>backported</a> version of <a

instance.</p>

<p><strong>Markenbildung für Debian-Derivate.</strong> Anthony Towns
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00241.html";>schlug
vor</a>, ein offizielles Programm für Markennamen für abgeleitete
Distributionen einzuführen, um unseren Derivaten zu helfen, die Vorteile der
Reputation von Debian zu nutzen. Im Wesentlichen sollten die Derivate ein offenes
Ohr für ihre Benutzer haben und mit der Freien-Software-Gemeinschaft
zusammenarbeiten. Im Gegenzug sollte Debian ein Logo anbieten, einen Link
von der Website bereitstellen, bei Presseverlautbarungen kooperieren und eine
unterstützende Basis für zukünftige Zusammenarbeit und Beratung anbieten.</p>

<p><strong>Branding for Debian Derivatives.</strong> Anthony Towns <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00241.html";>proposed</a>
to introduce an official branding programme for derived distributions to
help our derivatives get the benefits of Debian's reputation.  In the essence
the derivatives should listen to their users and cooperate with the Free
Software community.  In return Debian should provide a logo, add a link from
its website, cooperate on press releases and provide a supportive basis for
future cooperation and consultation.</p>

<p><strong>Schlüsselverwaltung für Secure APT.</strong> Joey Schulze
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2006/07/msg00192.html";>fragte
sich</a>, ob rechtzeitig für die Veröffentlichung von
<a href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">Etch</a> eine Schlüsselverwaltung in
<a href="http://packages.debian.org/apt";>APT</a> integriert werden könne.
Martin Krafft war
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2006/07/msg00194.html";>\
gegen</a> rein automatische Schlüsselaktualisierungen, da sie zu anfällig für
Angriffe seien, und bevorzugt eine Autorität als dritte Stelle zum Signieren von
#FE: »third party authority« evtl. als »Debian-fremde Autorität«?
Schlüsseln. Florian Weimer
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2006/07/msg00201.html";>\
bemerkte</a>, dass der einzig bekannte funktionierende Ansatz
in statischen Schlüsseln für stabile Veröffentlichungen und
Sicherheitsaktualisierungen liege.</p>

<p><strong>Key Management for Secure APT.</strong> Joey Schulze <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2006/07/msg00192.html";>\
wondered</a> if key management could be added into <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/apt";>APT</a> in time for the <a
href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">etch</a> release.  Martin Krafft <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2006/07/msg00194.html";>\
discouraged</a> plain automatic key upgrades since they are too vulnerable
for attacks and prefers a third party authority to sign the keys.  Florian
Weimer <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2006/07/msg00201.html";>\
stated</a> that the only approach known to work is static keys for stable
releases and stable security updates.</p>

<p><strong>Unterstützung von Exim 3 in Etch?</strong> Marc Haber
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2006/07/msg00228.html";>\
umriss</a> die Schritte, die für die Entfernung der Version 3 von
<a href="http://packages.debian.org/exim";>Exim</a> aus
<a href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">Etch</a> nötig seien, da es nicht länger von
den Originalautoren unterstützt werde und selbst sein Betreuer in der
Zwischenzeit aufgehört habe, es zu verwenden. Dies schließe eine
Aktualisierung in <a href="$(HOME)/releases/sarge/">Sarge</a> ein und

<p><strong>Supporting Exim 3 in Etch?</strong> Marc Haber <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2006/07/msg00228.html";>outlined</a>
the steps required to remove version 3 of <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/exim";>Exim</a> from <a
href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">etch</a> since it is not supported by upstream
anymore and even its maintainer has stopped using it in the meantime.  This
includes an update to <a href="$(HOME)/releases/sarge/">sarge</a> and also
requires manual work when users upgrade from sarge to etch.</p>

<p><strong>Erstellen der Dokumentation.</strong> Marcio Roberto Teixeira
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00101.html";>fragte
sich</a>, ob die Dokumentation für ein Debian-Paket besser vor der Paketierung
erstellt werden solle, um Zeit beim Bauen zu sparen, oder während des regulären
Build-Prozesses. Goswin von Brederlow
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00232.html";>\
erklärte</a>, dass die Dokumentation zusammen mit dem Rest des Paketes erstellt
werden sollte. Falls das Erstellen lange dauere, so sollte es nicht bei jedem
Paketbau stattfinden, sondern nur bei dem, welcher das binary-independent-Paket
erstellt.</p>

<p><strong>Building Documentation.</strong> Marcio Roberto Teixeira <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00101.html";>wondered</a>
if documentation for a Debian package should better be built before packaging
to save build time or during the regular build process.  Goswin von Brederlow
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00232.html";>\
explained</a> that documentation should be built together with the rest of the
package.  If building takes long it should not be done with every package
built but only with the one producing the binary-independent package.</p>

<p><strong>Installieren von Setuid-Programmen.</strong> Yui-wah Lee
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00105.html";>fragte
sich</a>, wie ein Paket paketiert werden solle, das als setuid oder setgid
installiert werden müsse. Matthew Palmer
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00115.html";>\
erklärte</a>, dass der Betreuer die entsprechenden Rechte setzen sollte und
# tweak
#FE: feinjustieren?
eventuell <code>dh_fixperms</code> »zwicken« müsste, so dass es die Rechte
nicht zurück auf den Standard setzt. Lokale Administratoren können diese
Rechte mit <code>dpkg-statoverride</code> ändern.</p>

<p><strong>Installing setuid Programs.</strong> Yui-wah Lee <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00105.html";>wondered</a>
how a program should be packaged that needs to be installed setuid or setgid.
Matthew Palmer <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00115.html";>explained</a>
that the maintainer should set the appropriate permissions and may have to
tweak <code>dh_fixperms</code> so that it doesn't turn the permissions back to
the default.  Local admins can change these permissions with
<code>dpkg-statoverride</code>.</p>

<p><strong>Status übersetzter Paketbeschreibungen.</strong> Michael Vogt
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg01323.html";>bat
darum</a>, <a href="http://packages.debian.org/apt";>APT</a> aus
Experimental zu testen. Diese Version unterstütze übersetzte
Paketbeschreibungen, die bereits für <a href="$(HOME)/releases/sid/">Sid</a>
auf vielen Spiegeln und im Debian Description Translation <a
href="http://ddtp.debian.net/";>Project</a> (Projekt zur Übersetzung von
Paketbeschreibungen) vorhanden seien. Einige Eigenschaften, wie beispielsweise
das Korrekturlesen einer Übersetzung, die in der Vergangenheit zur Verfügung
standen, sind noch nicht implementiert, jedoch für das neue Rahmenwerk zur
Internationalisierung

geplant</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Status of translated Packages Descriptions.</strong> Michael Vogt <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg01323.html";>asked</a>
for testing of <a href="http://packages.debian.org/apt";>APT</a> from
experimental. This version supports translated package descriptions which are
already available for <a href="$(HOME)/releases/sid/">sid</a> on many
mirrors and on the Debian description translation <a
href="http://ddtp.debian.net/";>project</a>.  A few features which where available in the
past such as reviewing of a translation are not yet implemented but are <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg01379.html";>planned</a>
as part of the new internationalisation framework.</p>
